Next Steps Lindy Hop Classes
Tuesdays 7.30pm - 8.20pm.
Swing City Next Steps class - for anyone who has taken our beginner course or has done beginner classes or a workshop elsewhere.
Pay on the door per class: £7 or £5 student/unwaged. No partner needed.
If you've covered six-count and eight-count footwork patterns, the Lindy Circle and the Swing Out, then this class is for you! Also ideal for anyone returning to swing dancing after a break or those who have started learning the opposite role.
The class content will change each week. We'll review all the key moves and focus on putting sequences together while gradually expanding our repertoire and honing our technique. We're aiming for these classes to be fun and confidence-building, so stay on for our social afterwards and practise what you've learnt!

These courses are suitable for absolute beginners or those who have previously tried Lindy Hop classes but don't yet have the confidence to social dance.
Your teachers Faye and Simon love the joy of social dancing and can't wait to share their knowledge with you, and will make sure you have a whole lot of fun whilst learning!
Sign up with or without a partner. Roles are not gender specific, anyone can lead or follow, but you will need to stick with your chosen role for the full six weeks. We will rotate partners during each class - it's fun and also valuable to learn with different people! However, if you'd rather stick with the same partner throughout, that's fine too, just let us know at the start of class.

Suitable for complete beginners and those in the early stages of their Balboa learning.
Lindy Hop - Step It Up! - Next date coming soon
This is for people who've been coming to our Next Steps classes for a while, or have been attending Improver or Intermediate sessions elsewhere, or simply have been dancing for any length of time and fancy coming to a refresher class.

Daisy taught this routine in her previous Solo Jazz workshop and it proved very popular. PLUS! We are planning to dance this during the band break at our Spiegeltent Special the following weekend, so this is an opportunity to learn it or refresh your memory so you can join in!
